  1. How to install the Icon Editor:
  2.  
  3.    This is a stand alone application so there are no DLL files to worry about.
  4.    Just unzip the file and move it to any folder.
  5.    You can then create a shortcut to IcnEd01p.exe.
  6.    A folder of sample icons is provided.
  7.  
  8. A word about transparent color:
  9.  
  10.    Icon Editor will let you use a different transparent color for your icon,
  11.    but will not remember it when you load it back into the editor. The 
  12.    transparent color will default to white.
  13.  
  14. Bitmaps:
  15.  
  16.    You can import a bitmap file with some limitations. 
  17.    Select Bitmaps from "Files of type" in the Open dialog.
  18.    The editor will only see a 32x32 pixel square from the upper left hand corner
  19.    and the bitmap will be converted to 16 colors.

  21. This program is FREEWARE and should not be sold.
